Him Electronics, the sole authorised distributor of Timex watches in Nepal, has rolled out a slew of new varieties of wrist watches. The company has unveiled five models of watches which it claims to be suitable for health conscious people and those who love adventure. The new Timex watches are available at the Time Factory, an exclusive outlet for Timex wrist watches situated on the first floor of Civil Mall, Sundhara.
“Timex is a well known brand in the domestic market, and we are hopeful that these newly introduced products will succeed in attracting buyers too,” said Prapti Neupane, sales executive at Him Electronics. “These new products have been targeted at health conscious and sporty people.” She added that the company had launched such products for the first time, and that they would have a niche market.
The newly unveiled Timex products are Timex Ironman Road Trainer Heart Rate, Ironman 30 Lap Shock Resistant Combo, Timex Ironman Race Trainer Kit, Road Trainer Heart Rate Monitor and Ironman Triathlon 42 Lap Combo.
According to the company, the Timex Ironman Road Trainer Heart Rate watch is an essential training companion that makes a bold statement along with superior performance and comfort in a next generation style. “This innovative tool is designed for both fitness enthusiasts and weekend warriors to help them meet their exercise goals,” said the company.
Likewise, the 30 Lap Combo series has a digital/analogue combination adding to its functionality. Similarly, the watch under Ironman Race Trainer Kit includes a linked interval timer with training zones that acts like a personal trainer. The enclosed data exchanger USB device allows this device to download wirelessly to a Timex online training log powered by Training peaks.
The watch under Timex Ironman Road Trainer features target zones, average heart rate, recovery timer, max zone, calculation, digital transmission and an owner replaceable battery. The last model from the Ironman Triathlon 42 Lap Combo series is designed with a stainless steel oversized case and a polished stainless steel bracelet.
All these new products are currently available in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Biratnagar. The company is planning to sell them in Jomsom and Lukla too, Neupane said.
In today’s edition of Bazaar, The Kathmandu Post features the newly unveiled Timex watches you might want to check out at the Time Factory.
